Prishtina is the capital city of Kosovo. Dubbed Europe’s youngest capital, Prishtina is a vibrant city famous for its youthful energy, café culture and nightlife more than its touristic attractions of which there are quite a few. Prishtina is located a mere 20 minutes from Prishtina International Airport Adem Jashari and offers a wide range of accommodation options as well as recreational and tourist activities. All of these are easily accessible on foot, bike, car or public transportation. Besides Prishtina, Kosovo offers many tourist attractions all of which can be easily reached by car or bus, and most are within a 2-hour distance. The official currency in Kosovo is the Euro. Prishtina International Airport “Adem Jashari” is the only operating airport in Kosovo, and is approximately 20 minutes by car from the city center of Prishtina. Please check their website to get the necessary information about the air companies that operate in the airport and the offered destinations.

There are several options to travel from/to the airport:
You can use the Prishtina-Airport-Prishtina public transport line 1A which takes you to the city center. The first bus departs from the Airport at 8:00 and the last at 20:00. The bus departs every two hours. The ticket price is around 3 Euros.
You can hire a taxi. Taxis to Prishtina will cost around 25 Euros. Within the city, the taxi rate starts at 2 Euros, but most of the trips cost around 3-5 euros.
You can rent a car, as there are several rent-a-car services available once you reach the arrival section of the airport.

Citizens of most countries in the world can enter Kosovo without a visa. Citizens, residents of Schengen countries, and holders of valid multi entry Schengen visas are also exempt from visa requirements.
